Personal Branding
My personal brand is not a representation of me, but part of a consistent visual identity that I use to present my work as a graphic designer. I treated this personal project like I would any branding project for a real client.
The look & feel pulls from the folds of origami and uses a subdued primary color palette that I’ve always been attracted to. The line weights of the elements vary from thick to thin depending on their usage. Thinner lines are harder to see on small digital applications.
The logo icon is based on an old 3D design class experiment I completed back in college. The project involved making several cuts into a 2 x 2 x 6-inch wood block and then putting the pieces back together in a new way. The sculpture was displayed in D.C. as part of a student exhibition.
I created these icons for my resume, so hiring managers can easily see what my capabilities are. I start most projects with sketches on paper or in Procreate. The final icons all involve a triangle shape to create a cohesive system.
